I loved the movie from the first scene when Manali’s sister Hana tries to poison him. But this scene was not shown in all Tamil movies I have seen. So I guess only Tamil movies with Indian heroes can show this scene. That is the reason why only one movie on Manali has been shown in Tamil.
Now that we have cleared that part out, what is the real value of Manali for Vijay? Well, I think it depends on who is watching the movie. If Manali was a Hollywood movie, Vijay would be earning millions of dollars for his role. However, since the movie is made in Tamil and not in English, no one will be able to understand what he is saying. This is one of the main reasons why no major Hollywood actor is ever seen in Tamil films.
As a result, actors like Vijay earn less. While a superstar like Vijay can easily command a six-figure salary, even a low budget film gets cancelled just because nobody knows how to watch it. This is why Tamil cinema is so cheap. There are many other languages that can attract movie audiences, but Tamil just doesn’t work.
