Hrant was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in July of 1985. Hrant Alianak was part of a family that had immigrated to Egypt in the 1950s. Hrant’s father worked as an engineer while Hrant was attending college in Egypt, but his mother encouraged Hrant and his brother to pursue acting and write plays, which they did.
